About Us
The municipality of Irig, the smallest municipality in Vojvodina, is located on the slopes of Fruska Gora and on the main road Novi Sad - Sabac (M-21) near the towns of Novi Sad and Ruma and 70 km northwest to Belgrade.
It covers an area of 226 km2 where approximately 12,000 people of different nationalities live in 12 localities. The municipality of Irig extends over 25% of the National Park "Fruska Gora", and its central place Irig is settled on the highest point above sea-level of all municipality centres in Vojvodina.

Wanting to promote in a right way the rich tradition of Irig, the Irig Natives Society organised the first “Vineyard Guard Days” in 1993.

Having a wish to preserve tradition and link the past and the future, the society of Vrdnik inhabitants “Vidovdan” and the Council of the Community Office of Vrdnik have organised Vidovdan Gathering.

In spirit of old traditions Wine Days have been traditionally organised at the end of January in Rivica since 2002.
